STAR Project
e-Learning teaching modality

The teaching method used, will provide a flexible, personalised and innovative training to the Mass Customization course´s attendants. In fact, contents are developed in a synergic pattern and delivered by the effective combination of blended learning models: face-to-face classrooms and electronic teaching sections.

Face-to-face classrooms, on Mass Customization issues, are scheduled to take place, along the project´s duration, between September and October 2007, in three different countries: in Italy (Venice), for the mechanic sector, in Greece (Thessaloniki), for the textile sector and in Slovenia (Koper) for the engineering and plastics processing sector, together with other two workshops in Bulgaria (Vratsa) and Hungary (Békés).

The electronic teaching modality on the contrary will deliver through this platform, always accessible any time and from anywhere, online classes, teaching materials and opportunity to speak with other students, teachers or tutors of the course. It will ensure a high and personalised training experience.

In fact, this platform is easily accessible and usable. E-learning activities will foresee moments of self learning, theoretical deep study a dedicated library and self assessments that can be managed by the learner according to his/her needs.

The electronic platform will allow reaching teaching materials completing and complementary to the face-to-face classroom lessons. From there, e-tutors will be available to direct and help students along the learning path, while teachers will be available to answer to students questions learning needs.

In addition, comparisons and exchanges on course´s programme, contents and experiences with teachers tutors and the other students, will be possible, through groupware and forums. The e-learning platform can also represent a strong tool for each student to check on his/her own progress by self assessments through tests and assignments.
